Going Green?
Amory Lovins coined expression Negawatt power, where you invest to reduce your electrical demand. We're big negawatt fans
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negawatt_power
How big? 24 Panel PV system on roof w battery backup, hot water heaters "on demand" CF light bulbs. Watt's a unit of energy, NOT light.
Watt's that you say? 12 watt CF won't give you enough light? It really does. Light's measured in Lumens http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lumen_(unit)
Watt is energy
Lumen is light

Seen in Berkeley during the Berkeley MLS Tour of homes for sale
One of Berkeley's few private streets - San Antonio at San Luis
A path I never knew existed! Discovering those are so much fun - this is where Neilson and Northside come together just north of Hopkins Street. The path runs along the BART tracks to the Berkeley Bagel Store on Gilman

The absence of information is... information
I was thinking back to a cruise Carol & I took to Alaska with CyberStar friends.
My good friend Alan Mah, a superb Vancouver BC Realtor, organized the trip.
To thank him, all the CyberStars on the cruise chipped in to him a new iPod Photo.
He asked "How did you know I didn't have one"
And I answered. "Because if you did have one, you would have told me"
I've noticed lately that a large part of our skill in negotiating with clients is being able to incorporate the absence of information into our interpretation of how the negotiations go.
In a recent performance, Josh Kornbluth talked about the "Presence of Absence".
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle might have referred to the curious incident when the dog didn't bark.
In every case, the lack of a response is a response.
I'm not usually this profound.

Downtown Oakland Updown Neon
Downtown Oakland Updown Neon.. we went to the Paramount Theatre, the most amazing theater in the San Francisco Bay Area, for $5 Movie Night.
The Gay Divorcee was playing - and Astaire & Rogers danced to the the astonishing lyrics of Cole Porter's "Night and Day" ...."There's an oh such a hungry yearning burning inside of me"
Had a great parking spot near the theater, and made a note to take photos of the Uptown Neon. Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Wild life in Berkeley
Wild life in Berkeley. Hundreds of goats eat weeds during the summer, and wild turkeys who hang around UC Memorial Stadium.
No, I wasn't drinking Wild Turkey
One of the reasons I love living in Berkeley.
