I spent the evening sorting through gazillions of photos
It was the high point of our trip to Hawaii.
And what is it? The shadow of Mauna Kea upon the clouds to the east of the mountaintop. Most people watch the sunset... the more interesting show is behind you.
I spent the evening sorting through gazillions of photos. This one continues to be a favorite.

Leonard Cohen at the Paramount Theater
At Oakland Paramount Theatre for Leonard Cohen concert.
The average age is gray alte kakke.
Carol wouldn't join me for an evening of lugubrious music, Suzanne is down by the river, and I just couldn't ask Debbie Downer because she couldn't take the music's upbeat tempo and foot tapping rhythm.
I just read Joel Selvin's review of the concert "Leonard Cohen's Graceful Gift"
It summed it up perfectly... and didn't include how wonderful the musicians were.

Carpe diem... so does the light
Moments after taking this photo across from the North Berkeley branch of the Berkeley Public library.
The moral of the story? If you do it now you won't be wistful about.
Taken in Berkeley's Northbrae neighborhood.
wisteria photos or opportunities you just missed taking or doing.

Here Here for Josh at The Center For Better Hearing. I can hear here!
Here Here for Josh at The Center For Better Hearing. I can hear here!
Chances are if there's a guy in your family who's better than 55, he might need some hearing assistance. I put off getting hearing aids simply because of vanity. My cool hearing aids are practically invisible, and look like bluetooth modems. Have him call me - I'll tell him what a difference they made.
Downside? No more selective hubby hearing

A '51 Chevy in Berkeley's Elmwood Neighborhood
My father had a '49 Pontiac, so this brings back fond memories. Seen in Elmwood neighborhood of Berkeley.
Want to know when a car was made? Look at the red brake light cover. This beauty was from 1951, just a few years younger than moi.

Blacksmiths? In Oakland?
That's right - There's a blacksmith in Rockridge.
Eric Clausen designed beautiful iron railings for us - His web site is http://clauseniron.com and we highly recommend him.
